We're on our way to the Fort Lauderdale airport

On the shuttle bus there seems to be some stupid guy making comments and asking questions to anyone of the bus about where they're going and where he's going. As we arrive at the airport terminals he tells the driver he needs terminal 2, then asks which terminal comes first, 1 or 2. Argh! Too early in the morning for stupid people.

The plane was 40 minutes late taking off, which meant we would miss our connecting flight in Dallas.

We finally arrive in Dallas and of course miss our flight to Albuquerque. Andre was dreading that the next flight won't be for 5 hours or so. But it was only an hours and half wait.

After eating some disgusting BBQ at the airport (I was starving), our plane left for Albuquerque.

The airport was extremely nice and well-organized. Also with the rental car shuttle bus. We got the last standard SUV, which means we lucked out on getting an upgrade or worse gas mileage; a Chevy Trailblazer.

First stop in Albuquerque was Whole Foods. Under $100 in 15 minutes. I saved $8 in coupons, which Andre is trying to beat at Safeway. He's at $1.75.

Next stop was Bisti Wilderness Area near Farmington. We made it just in time for it to get dark... Andre was trying to make it for sunset.

Last stop was our hotel, the La Quinta, where the nearest ice machine is 3 doors down, but broken or out of ice.

Wait, I forgot to mention I have my favorite beer now; Fat Tire. I love this beer. Can't wait to bring some back to South Florida.

Ate some crappy food at Arby's. Not really a choice. Did find some organic yogurt at Safeway for breakfast. Need spoons though. Farmington is creep. Nothing here but beer and car dealerships. Tomorrow we hike Bisti.

I'm getting ready to leave out on a much-needed vaction

with Andre and his parents. The past two weeks were stressful because of work and Strawberry having another bladder infection. I'm so ready to start hiking and to just be outdoors. We're flying into Las Vegas. On the way we saw a strong thunderstorm over Louisiana. There was lightening everywhere. Andre's dad was videotaping it. For the rest of the flight I played this trivia game with the other passengers from the seat screen. There were all kinds of questions, especially stuff you would think I wouldn't know and when I knew most questions repeated, I finally won a round. It displayed my name on the screen and it shows your seat numbers for all players.

We finally arrive in Las Vegas and the airport is so crowded at midnight. The worst part comes when we get our rental car. It was some kind of Mercury model, huge car, smelled of smoke and we couldn't fit our luggage in the trunk. I told Andre at first at the counter to get the van, but they choose this car because they thought it would get better gas mileage. My arguement was storing our stuff, there was no room. We finally get the van but there's still garbage in it! I was really pissed because I was tired.

We finally get away from the airport to pick up beer at a gas station on the way to the hotel. I had a bad feeling about it when we parked beacause the cashier and I guess, his buddy were outside smoking. They wouldn't stop staring at me. At our hotel we could finally relax. Our hotel was on the strip not far from the MGM, but it was a rat hole!

The next day we walk around and Andre and I played at the slots in the new Wynn casino. Andre only had a ten and I played it won $2. I played on to lose it again and cashed out the $10. We lost about $5 before that but we got two pina coladas for playing. Oh, I forgot to mention we had breakfast at Whole Foods this morning!
